Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of Wagner, said that his mercenary forces are unlikely to capture the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut in the next two days as fighting continues. Bakhmut has been the site of intense fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces for months, with Ukrainian defenders holding out against Russian attempts to capture the city. If Russia were to take Bakhmut, it would provide a stepping stone to advance on two larger cities in the Donetsk region.
