Bragg and Wilco Bring Guthrie’s Unpublished Lyrics to Life on Stage
Friday night in Western Massachusetts, Billy Bragg and Wilco will publicly perform Mermaid Avenue—an album built from Woody Guthrie’s unpublished lyrics—marking the first live presentation of the project. Initiated by Guthrie’s daughter Nora, the collaboration has already been described as magical and helped propel Wilco’s rise, bringing Guthrie’s unseen words to life on stage.
