A two-year-old Florida girl died after her parents left her in a hot car for more than 14 hours. The parents, who were charged with child neglect and drug possession, reportedly left the child to sleep in the car after returning home late at night but did not find her until after 3pm the next day. The child's temperature was 107 degrees when found. The couple's home was searched and methamphetamine, marijuana, CBD gummies, and drug paraphernalia were found. The four-year-old sibling has been placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.

The DEA has announced the results of a year-long national operation targeting operatives, associates, and distributors affiliated with two Mexican drug cartels smuggling fentanyl and methamphetamines into the U.S. More than 3,300 people were arrested and nearly 44 million fentanyl pills were seized as part of Operation Last Mile. Additionally, 6,500 pounds of fentanyl powder, 91,000 pounds of meth, 8,400 firearms, and $100 million were recovered. The St. Louis District DEA netted 72 arrests, 1.3 million fentanyl pills, 100 pounds of fentanyl powder, more than 200 pounds of meth, 405 firearms, and almost $500,000 in assets.
