Mew2King Banned From Austin Tournament Over Viral Bed Bug Concerns
Super Smash Bros. Melee pro Jason 'Mew2King' Zimmerman was barred from the Xtreme Fighters Showdown in Austin after viral posts of his skin lesions sparked fears of a bed bug outbreak. Zimmerman, who has earned over $284,000 in career prize money, initially attributed the marks to flea bites from a housemate's cat but later admitted the photos were exaggerated. He has since stepped back from competing and streaming to focus on his health, while event organizers cited public safety as the reason for his exclusion.
