"Icon of the Seas: Royal Caribbean's Record-Breaking Cruise Ship"
Royal Caribbean has taken delivery of Icon of the Seas, officially making it the world's largest cruise ship. Weighing 250,600 tons and able to accommodate up to 7,600 passengers, the ship is 6% larger than the previous size leader, Wonder of the Seas. Icon of the Seas features 18 passenger decks, a focus on family travelers with extra cabins and amenities, and the largest water park ever built on a cruise ship. It is the first in a new series of ships that will be bigger than anything seen before. The ship's first sailing with paying passengers is scheduled for January 27, 2024, out of Miami.
