11 Injured as Boat Explosion Triggers Mass Casualty Response at Haulover Beach
Eleven people were hospitalized after a reported boat explosion near the Haulover Sandbar in Miami-Dade County, prompting Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to upgrade the response to a Level 2 Mass Casualty Incident with more than 25 units, plus Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife on scene. The cause is not yet released as investigators probe the incident, while witnesses described a rapid, fiery blast that threw passengers from the vessel.
