Fox Bets on a 2027 Revival: Highway to Heaven Gets a Modern Remake
Fox has greenlit a remake of the 1980s series Highway to Heaven for the 2027-28 season, with Jason Katims as showrunner and Amblin Television and Michael Landon Productions aboard to produce; the reboot will follow a probationary angel helping people on Earth with a contemporary, grounded lens, continuing the series' themes of compassion. Fox has also ordered Stewie, a Family Guy spinoff, for the same slate, with Cindy Landon and the original production teams serving as executive producers.
