Suspected gunman hunted after gunfire near Notre Dame game; shelter-in-place ordered
Police are searching for a suspected gunman after gunfire near Eddy Street Commons during Notre Dame’s game against Michigan State. The university issued a shelter-in-place and the stadium was locked down; one person was hospitalized. The suspect—described as a heavy-set Black male wearing blue shorts, a black shirt and one white shoe—was last seen along the southern edge of campus as authorities urged people to avoid the area and for residents to shelter in place while the search continued.
