Switch 2 Firmware Update 23.0.0 Restores Mii Music and Delivers Long-Awaited Docked VRR
Nintendo released firmware update 23.0.0 for the Switch 2, introducing docked variable refresh rate (VRR) support, a handheld boost mode toggle, and nostalgic music options for the Mii Maker. The update also enables full system transfers to other consoles. While the VRR implementation is praised for outperforming the PlayStation 5, it requires game patches and a dock update, and currently forces VRR on even when unsupported, potentially causing display issues for some users.
