Suns unlock cap space with Bridges trade, targeting shooting guards in free agency
Phoenix traded Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale for Miles Bridges, freeing about $20 million in tax savings this season and creating a roster spot. The deal moves the Suns away from the second apron toward the first and allows use of the full taxpayer mid-level exception, boosting cap space for free agency. They’re targeting shooting guards, with options including Luke Kennard, Kevin Huerter, Collin Sexton, Jordan Clarkson, De’Anthony Melton and Landry Shamet as a wildcard.
