Mojang Unveils 'The Sift,' Minecraft's First New Dimension Since 2011
Mojang Studios has officially revealed 'The Sift,' the first new dimension added to Minecraft in over 14 years. The dimension will debut in the action RPG *Minecraft Dungeons II* on September 29, 2026, before arriving in the main Java and Bedrock editions in 2027. The Sift features new biomes, including the Meadows and Carapace, along with unique mobs and shifting environmental rules. This announcement was made during Minecraft Live 2026, which also highlighted a new frozen cave biome for the main game and the upcoming London theme park.
