"California Storms Bring Heavy Rain and Tornado Risk"
A strong Pacific storm is hitting Southern California, bringing more rain to areas that have already seen over two feet of rainfall since the start of the official water year on Oct. 1. California has also seen record snow in many mountain areas, with Mammoth Mountain ski resort surpassing its all-time record for snowfall in a single season. The Ventura County Public Works Agency has provided a map showing 24-hour rainfall totals for the Los Angeles metropolitan area, with some locations already receiving over an inch of rain in the past 24 hours.
