Star Wars Film Removed from Release Schedule Indefinitely
Disney has indefinitely delayed a Star Wars film originally set for December 18, 2026, replacing it with Ice Age 6. The other Star Wars film for 2026, "The Mandalorian & Grogu," remains scheduled for May 22. The delayed film's connection to a newly announced trilogy by Simon Kinberg, which is not a continuation of the Skywalker Saga, is unclear. This new trilogy may still involve Rey Skywalker, focusing on her new journey and a new Jedi order. Several other Star Wars projects are also in development.
