"Multi-Vortex Tornado Wreaks Havoc in Southwest Oklahoma"
A multi-vortex tornado caused significant damage in southwest Oklahoma near Duke and Olustee on May 23, 2024, narrowly missing the city of Altus. The tornado, described as looking like "Medusa" by Chief Meteorologist David Payne, damaged at least four homes, overturned farm equipment, and downed powerlines. No injuries have been confirmed yet.
