Camilo Séptimo Keyboardist Jonathan Meléndez and Family Slain in Home Attack
Jonathan Meléndez, keyboardist for the Mexican band Camilo Séptimo, was shot and killed at his home in Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico, along with his pregnant wife, their 3-year-old daughter, and a 21-year-old nanny. A 6-year-old boy survived the attack, which occurred on September 1. Two suspects were arrested within 24 hours, with authorities stating one suspect exploited a relationship of trust to gain access to the residence.
