Kvapil's IMS win ends drought, but Yard of Bricks burnout stirs controversy

Carson Kvapil earned his first NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in his 64th start and celebrated with a burnout across the Yard of Bricks, a move NASCAR warned against. Kvapil was unplugged from his radio and didn’t hear the reminder; JR Motorsports’ Dale Earnhardt Jr. apologized on social media, and track workers later scrubbed the bricks. Burnouts on IMS bricks have a history, with Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson previously doing similar celebrations.

Zilisch edges Love in dramatic Watkins Glen finish for third straight win

Connor Zilisch overtook Jesse Love on the final lap after Love saved fuel, beating him to the line by 0.262 seconds in the Mission 200 at The Glen to extend his perfect Watkins Glen record to three straight wins; it was Zilisch’s 13th O'Reilly Series victory, with JR Motorsports again placing at least one car in the top 10. SVG blasts past five rivals in Turn 1 to win NASCAR O'Reilly at COTA

Shane van Gisbergen clinched the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Circuit of the Americas by starting sixth on four fresh tires and diving to the inside of Turn 1 to pass five leaders, securing his fifth O'Reilly win and his first at COTA; Austin Hill finished second, with Sammy Smith, Jesse Love and Corey Day completing the top five, as SVG eyes a Cup start the next day to extend his road-course win streak.
