Thailand's Miss Universe 2026 bid hangs on MUO leadership feud
Thailand’s Miss Universe 2026 contestant Tharina Botes faces an uncertain path as the Miss Universe Organization evaluates Thailand’s participation amid a public leadership dispute between MU West and MU East. MU West says Thai delegates were barred from a national directors’ meeting citing “recent circumstances and conduct,” while MU East contends MU West lacks unilateral authority to represent the organization. No official withdrawal or disqualification has been announced, and Thailand’s entry for the 75th Miss Universe in Puerto Rico this November remains in doubt.
