Bulls appoint Tiago Splitter as head coach to steer the next era
The Chicago Bulls named Tiago Splitter their head coach, the franchise's 25th leader. The 41-year-old former NBA forward/center arrives after serving as Portland's interim head coach in 2025-26, guiding the Trail Blazers to a 42-40 record, a play-in win and the No. 7 seed. Splitter brings a mix of NBA playing experience, international coaching success with Paris Basketball, and prior NBA assistant roles (Nets, Rockets), including being part of San Antonio's 2014 championship team as a player.
