WNBA Finals Game 6 Scheduled for Midday to Avoid NBA Conflict
Game 6 of the 2026 WNBA Finals between the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream is set for 12:30 p.m. local time in Atlanta on Thursday. This early start avoids a conflict with an NBA game between the Atlanta Hawks and Cleveland Cavaliers at the same venue. The schedule allows the game to be played at the 17,000-seat State Farm Arena rather than the Dream's smaller 3,500-seat home facility. While the timing disrupts work and school schedules, officials and coaches emphasized the importance of maximizing viewership and crowd size for a historic moment in league history.
