SNK and PLAION announced the Neo Geo AES+—a hardware-faithful reimplementation of the original AES with modern features, including compatibility with both new and original Neo Geo AES cartridges, low-latency HDMI output alongside original AV, and quality-of-life options like DIP switches and permanent high-score storage. The AES+ will launch on November 12, 2026, with preorder pricing of $249.99 for the Standard Edition, $349.99 for the Anniversary Edition, and $999.99 for the Ultimate Edition, which bundles multiple accessories and game cartridges.
