Grounded Big Bear bald eagle rescued, fans say it’s Jackie from the nest cam
A grounded bald eagle found near Big Bear Lake over the weekend is believed to be Jackie, the star of the long-running Big Bear nest livestream. After a ground confrontation with two sub-adults, she was rescued by L.A. County San Dimas Raptor Rescue and taken to a rehabilitation facility for care. Fans had worried about Jackie’s absence; the nonprofit Friends of Big Bear Valley indicated evidence points to her identity, and the nest’s recent eaglets Sandy and Luna have already fledged.
