Tesla's Next Car Already in Production, Teased with New Image.
Tesla has teased its next electric car with a new image of the silhouette, and CEO Elon Musk says it is already being built. The image is a render and not an obscured picture. Tesla has been expected to bring to market a smaller electric hatchback, often referred to as the “$25,000 Tesla” or sometimes “Tesla Model 2.” The company estimates that the two new vehicles it is working on will sell at a volume of about 5 million units per year and are expected to be a cheaper and smaller hatchback and a vehicle specifically designed for self-driving and for a taxi service.
