Idaho father dies from blood clot after recovering from flesh-eating bacteria
Jon McCoy, 38, died on Monday in Newdale, Idaho, from a massive blood clot in his lungs. He had recently recovered from a flesh-eating bacterial infection in his leg, which required hospitalization and ongoing wound care. His family reports he was unable to take blood thinners due to other medical issues, contributing to the clot. He is survived by his wife, Monica, and two daughters.
