The Atlanta Falcons fired assistant defensive line coach LaTroy Lewis after a report alleging he sexually assaulted and harassed a woman during his time on the University of Michigan staff. The Ann Arbor Police Department is investigating the allegations. The Falcons issued a brief statement saying they were gathering information and would comment no further, then announced Lewis’s dismissal within hours. The report also implicates Michigan coach Sherrone Moore, who was reportedly involved in reporting and later faced firing; as of now, no charges have been filed against Lewis. Lewis previously coached at Toledo and UConn before joining Atlanta.
Las Vegas promoted defensive line coach Rob Leonard to defensive coordinator, betting on his NFL pedigree, mentorship under veteran coaches, and his strong rapport with star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby, even though he has no prior DC experience.
