Wilson retires at 37 to join CBS as analyst
Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, 37, retires after 14 NFL seasons and will immediately join CBS as an analyst. He spent a decade in Seattle, winning the 2014 Super Bowl and nearly repeating in 2015, before later playing for the Broncos, Steelers and Giants in backup or sparing roles. He finishes with 46,966 passing yards (16th all-time) and 353 TD passes (12nd all-time), plus 5,568 rushing yards and 31 rushing TDs, becoming the only NFL player with more than 40,000 passing yards and 5,000 rushing yards. Wilson thanked coach Pete Carroll and his teammates in his retirement statement.
