Bears Edge Rusher Montez Sweat Suspended Two Games for PED Violation
The NFL suspended Chicago Bears defensive end Montez Sweat for two games without pay after he violated the league's performance-enhancing substance policy. Sweat will miss the upcoming games against the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots, returning for Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks. The suspension exacerbates existing depth issues on the Bears' defensive line, particularly following a quad injury to Dayo Odeyingbo.
