Zegras Extension Rejigs Flyers’ Cap Strategy
Trevor Zegras signed a four-year, $9.125M AAV extension with the Flyers, making him their highest-paid player and reshaping the club’s cap outlook. Even with the new deal, the Flyers are expected to enter the season with roughly $12–13M in cap space after anticipated signings for Jamie Drysdale and Nikita Grebenkin, leaving room to pursue future moves or extend key prospects, including Matvei Michkov, once cap space grows in 2027-28.
