Scott Hylands, Night Heat Star and Fargo Guest, Dies at 83
Canadian actor Scott Hylands, best known for Night Heat and who appeared in Fargo, died July 29 at age 83; his son Luke Hylands announced the death, praising him as a husband, father and storyteller. Born in 1943 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Hylands pursued theater after studying zoology at the University of British Columbia, later starring in Night Heat (1985–89) as Detective Kevin 6 D2Brien and appearing on numerous TV series including The Waltons, V and The X-Files, as well as films such as Daddys Gone A-Hunting and Earthquake; he is survived by wife Veronica and children Luke and Rebecca.
