Giuliani presses Mamdani to skip 9/11 ceremony amid Islam remarks
Rudy Giuliani urged Zohran Mamdani to skip the Sept. 11 memorial after accusing his faith in a tirade, while Mamdani says he will attend the ceremony and other 9/11 events to honor victims and first responders; Giuliani and allies have criticized Mamdani’s attendance as Islamophobic backlash grows. Dignitaries including Clinton, Bush and Obama are expected at the commemorations, the White House says Trump won’t attend, and VP Vance will represent the administration.
