SpaceX Dragon brings back space-grown tomatoes and heart study results.
The SpaceX Dragon cargo capsule is set to undock from the International Space Station (ISS) today and return to Earth, carrying about 4,300 pounds of "experiment hardware and research samples" down with it. The Dragon launched on March 14 and carried up about 6,300 pounds of supplies, including fresh fruit and refrigerated cheeses for the ISS astronauts. The capsule will make a soft, parachute-aided ocean landing off the Florida coast "several hours" after undocking, and you can watch the departure and splashdown live on Space.com or via NASA's coverage.
