Week 2 Shifts: Oklahoma State Surges, Texas Tops Ohio State Comeback, Michigan Rebounds
Week 2 delivered big shifts in college football: Oklahoma State snapped a 21-game FBS drought against Oregon with a 39-31 win behind Drew Mestemaker’s 317 passing yards as coach Eric Morris’s offense clicked; Oregon’s turnover in coordinators and tougher nonconference slate contributed to the stumble. Michigan answered questions about its QB situation as Bryce Underwood led a 17-10 victory over Oklahoma. Texas staged a dramatic fourth-quarter comeback to beat Ohio State 24-23 and moved to No. 1 in the AP Top 25. UNLV was routed 76-44 by North Texas, and Rutgers fell 28-21 to Boston College, highlighting a rough week for the Scarlet Knights.
