
Tina Charles bows out of WNBA as all-time rebound leader
Tina Charles, the WNBA’s all-time leading rebounder, announced her retirement after a 15-year career featuring 4,262 rebounds, 8,396 points, an MVP season in 2012, and three Olympic gold medals. She played for the Sun, Liberty, and later stints with several teams, returning to Connecticut last season. Off the court, she founded Hopey’s Heart Foundation, donating AEDs to combat sudden cardiac arrest.
