India's Population Boom Set to Boost Tourism Industry
India's tourism industry is experiencing a boom, with Indians expected to spend over $42 billion per year on outbound travel by 2024. The country is pouring billions into growing its aviation industry and cementing its status as a travel hub, with improvements in infrastructure and expansion in its aviation sector driving much of its outbound growth trajectory. While Southeast Asia is a top destination for Indian travelers, there is still room for growth in promoting other destinations. However, it may take India possibly two decades to catch up with China when it comes to outbound tourism.
