Unpaid-bill dispute ends in murder in Canada as three Brits plead guilty
Three British men admitted their roles in the death of Sharif Rahman, 44, in Owen Sound, Ontario, after a row over an unpaid $150 restaurant bill. Robert Evans Jr., 25, pleaded guilty to manslaughter; his father Robert Busby Evans, 49, and uncle Barry Evans, 56, pleaded guilty to being accessories and have been sentenced to time served. The suspects, believed to be from Manchester, were extradited to Canada from Scotland; Evans Jr. faces sentencing next month. Rahman, a father of one, died a week after the fight outside a curry house that followed the dispute.
