De Zerbi Confirms Three Spurs Stars Seek Exit After Second Straight Loss
Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that forwards Richarlison and Pape Matar Sarr, along with defender Kevin Danso, have requested to leave the club following a 0-2 home defeat to Newcastle. De Zerbi stated that while he values the players, they must provide an economic solution for their departure. The loss marked Spurs' second consecutive defeat, with the team conceding five goals and scoring zero in their first two Premier League matches. De Zerbi emphasized that the squad is still developing cohesion and urged patience, noting that the team created more chances than Newcastle but failed to convert them. He acknowledged the frustration of fans but insisted that the current project requires time to build the necessary mentality and tactical structure.
