Multiple Pharma Companies Cap Insulin Prices in US
The three largest insulin manufacturers in the US, Sanofi, Eli Lilly, and Novo Nordisk, have committed to lowering the cost of their products to ensure patients can afford their medications. The move will also save the companies money by lowering the amount they would have to rebate Medicaid. The changes coincide with the elimination of a cap that limits how much manufacturers have to rebate Medicaid, which will save the companies from owing the government millions. However, with the price drop, Medicaid will likely end up paying the companies more to purchase and cover their drugs.
