LifeLine Chat defends its existence as Jim Thornton remains silent after 'Wheel of Fortune' termination
The organization behind the chat room allegedly accessed by former 'Wheel of Fortune' announcer Jim Thornton has issued a statement defending its existence as a support space for individuals with minor-attracted feelings. This comes one week after Thornton was fired by Sony Pictures Television following an investigation into his presence on the site during a May flight. While the chat room claims to prevent harm and offer mental health support, Thornton’s attorney maintains he was misdirected to the site and committed no crime. Thornton has not publicly responded to the controversy, and his social media accounts remain inactive.
