Xbox Quick Resume explained: how it works and how to disable it per game
Xbox Quick Resume is enabled by default on Series X|S, letting you jump back into recently played games with almost no loading; you can view and manage active Quick Resume entries in My Games & Apps or via the Guide, remove or quit individual sessions, and disable Quick Resume per game if it causes issues (notably in online multiplayer titles). A 2026 update added a Quick Resume group on the Home screen for easier access.
