Alcaraz Extends Grand Slam Streak to 15 Wins, Matching Sampras Record
Carlos Alcaraz returned to Grand Slam play at the 2026 US Open with a straight-sets victory over Roman Safiullin, extending his major match win streak to 15. This achievement ties the record set by Pete Sampras in 1994 and marks the Spaniard's first competitive singles match since April due to a wrist injury.
