Dan Stevens Joins Prime Video’s RoboCop as Murphy in an Eight-Episode Series
Dan Stevens will star as Alex Murphy and his cyborg alter ego RoboCop in an eight-episode Prime Video series from Amazon MGM Studios, Blumhouse Atomic Monster and showrunner Peter Ocko. The reboot reimagines the 1987 film’s questions of technology, identity, and corporate power, with a powerful city robot placed on the police force after a merger, while Wan and original RoboCop writers Ed Neumeier and Michael Miner executive produce. The project follows MGM’s titles developed for TV after Amazon’s 2022 acquisition, and Stevens’ recent work includes Legacy of Spies for MGM+ and Dexter: Resurrection Season 2.
