PAL Plans Bold Fleet Overhaul with Boeing 787-10 Order

Philippine Airlines signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Boeing to acquire up to 20 787-10s (15 firm, 5 options) as part of a major fleet renewal, with deliveries expected between 2031 and 2034. This marks PAL’s first Boeing order since 2007 and supports growth as it joins Oneworld, leveraging the 787-10’s strong per-seat economics and extended reach to bolster medium- and long-haul operations while integrating with its existing A321, A350, A330, and 777 fleets. Questions remain about how much of the growth will replace older widebodies vs. expand capacity.

The A350-1000s are expected to be in a three cabin configuration, featuring business class, premium economy, and economy.
