Balcony-bound astrophotographer catalogs 548 galaxies in the Leo Triplet
A Dutch astrophotographer spent 60 hours over 18 clear nights photographing the Leo Triplet from his Heiloo balcony, producing a detailed composite that reveals 548 catalogued galaxies and a 300,000-light-year tidal tail, with PixInsight used in processing as part of a project to image the full Messier Catalogue.
