Polestar 4 SUV adds wagon-like practicality, V2L power, and a looming US exit
Polestar expands the 4 lineup with a taller-roof SUV version that is effectively a long-roof wagon, boosting cargo space (up to 655 L with rear seats in place and 530 L to seatbacks), adds a glass rear window with a hidden wiper and optional digital rear-view mirror, and includes features like an electrochromic glass roof and standard roof rails. It comes in single-motor RWD (268 hp, 7.3s 0–62 mph, 391 miles WLTP) and dual-motor AWD (544 hp, 3.9s 0–62 mph, 373 miles WLTP), both on a 100-kWh pack with 200 kW DC fast charging (10→80% in ~30 minutes) and bidirectional V2L up to 3.3 kW, plus Camp mode coming via software update. The SUV also signals a broader US policy change: Polestar won’t be allowed to sell cars in the US from the 2027 model year due to the U.S. Connected Vehicles Rule, effectively ending its American presence.
