The Manthey Kit-equipped Porsche 911 GT3 RS posted a 6:45.389 Nürburgring lap, nearly four seconds faster than the stock car and driven by Jörg Bergmeister, but it still trails the Ford Mustang GTD Competition’s 6:40.835. Manthey’s aero upgrades, revised suspension and brakes, plus optional Cup 2 R tires boost downforce by about 20% with less drag, enabling higher speeds in fast sections of the track.
Manthey Racing is developing a new package for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, as seen in recent spy shots at the Nurburgring. The prototype features an aggressive design with a wider and higher active rear wing, a roof fin, and additional air deflectors. The upgrades are expected to include an improved brake setup, stiffer suspension, and reduced curb weight. The 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six engine is likely to remain unchanged. The Manthey package is estimated to cost around $57,300, potentially pushing the price of the 911 GT3 RS closer to $300,000.
