Revolutionary Technique Enhances GPS Accuracy
A new scientific technique using a radio interferometer between a GPS antenna and receiver and a large radio telescope has been developed, improving the reference frames used in GPS navigation. By leveraging the sensitivity of the radio telescope, the technique extends the reach of GPS receivers to observe powerful extragalactic jets up to 5 billion light-years away.
