Alaska judge clears namesake Dan J. Sullivan for Senate primary ballot
A Superior Court judge overturned the Division of Elections disqualification of Dan J. Sullivan, a Petersburg teacher who shares a name with Sen. Dan Sullivan, allowing him to appear in the August Republican primary; the ruling says the division's good-faith requirement wasn't grounded in the Constitution, Alaska law, or its own regulations and can be appealed to the Alaska Supreme Court as ballots are prepared ahead of Alaska's top-four primary and ranked-choice general election.
