At the Amsterdam state banquet for Japan's Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, seven imperial and royal tiaras lit up the evening as Dutch royals wore heirloom diamonds and a debut tiara. Princess Ariane made her first tiara appearance with a diamond piece tied to Queen Emma, while Amalia wore the Mellerio Ruby Tiara, Beatrix donned the Diamond Bandeau, Masako wore a diamond honeysuckle tiara, and Queen Máxima showcased the full Stuart Tiara set with accompanying jewels. Other royal ladies (Laurentien and Margriet) also displayed matching pieces, highlighting centuries of ties between the Netherlands and Japan.
