SFO bets on exclusive private terminal to attract premium air travelers
San Francisco International Airport is seeking bids to build a 34,582-square-foot private terminal about six miles from the main terminal, offering luxury lounges, private guest suites, its own TSA screening, and curbside car service directly to aircraft for a fee of $800–$1,800. The facility could begin operations as soon as 2028, with proposals due September 30–October 7, targeting travelers who fly commercially but want a more elevated, seamless experience while the airport's existing terminals add new amenities.
