AMD Unleashes 96-Core Monster Chip and Pro CPUs, Dominating CPU Battle with Intel
AMD is launching two new classes of Threadripper CPUs: the Pro series for top workstations and the non-Pro series for high-end desktop PCs. Both classes are based on AMD's Zen 4 architecture and offer access to PCIe Gen 5 high-speed storage. The top-of-the-line Threadripper Pro chip boasts 96 cores and 192 threads, while the flagship HEDT chip offers 64 cores and 128 threads. The Threadripper CPUs will be available on November 21st.
