In Gig Harbor, a man bound by a no-contact protection order allegedly stabbed multiple people and was shot by a Pierce County deputy as responders arrived. The incident occurred in the 14000 block of 87th Avenue Court Northwest after deputies had tried to serve the order (it had not yet been served). Three victims were found dead at the scene and a fourth died later at a hospital; the suspect also died. The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office Force Investigation Team is investigating the deputy-involved shooting.
A standoff with a barricaded suspect in a southwest Colorado Springs neighborhood ended peacefully after several hours. The incident began when a man with a protection order against him showed up at a house and holed up inside when he saw law enforcement arrive. The suspect surrendered on his own and was taken into custody. He faces charges of violating a protection order and criminal trespassing.
Former Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Chandler Jones was arrested for allegedly violating a protection order granted to an unnamed woman after a domestic battery incident. The woman reported that Jones shoved her into a railing and believed he was on drugs. Jones was also accused of violating the protection order by entering the woman's backyard and burning items. Actor Jonathan Majors has agreed to a full temporary order of protection granted to his alleged domestic violence victim by a New York judge. The order directs Majors to have no contact with the victim until at least the next court hearing on May 9. Majors' attorney continues to assert his innocence, claiming that the victim is lying and that the injuries she sustained did not come from Majors. The actor faces multiple counts of harassment and assault, and the alleged victim is the only individual prosecutors plan to bring up at the next hearing.
